what's in bloom?
The transition from Winter to Spring has to be one of my favourite seasons, a time full of promise, hope and joy! Many of the spring flowers such as tulips, ranunculus, anemones, hyacinths and the dainty narcissis are available in the latter winter months through till the end of April/beginning of May but some of the more delicate varieties have a much shorter appearance, making them all the more special! The beautiful Sryngia 'Lilacs', 'Hellebores', tiny 'Muscari', luschious green Viburnum 'Geulder Rose' and the dainty 'Lily of the Valley' are to name but a few. The real show stopper has to be the 'Peony' this gorgeous bloom takes center stage of any arrangement and although available from February they are really at their best from April through to June. Take a look at 'my floral passion' to see some pictures of seasonal bouquets.
